Jacob LaVallee is an American composer, pianist, and producer, born in Maine and educated at Florida State University's College of Music, where he graduated in 2010.

In 2011, he began his production career, writing for various media and commercial projects, earning thousands of sync placements worldwide for his emotively evocative instrumental works. In 2016, he embarked on a new Modern Classical project, dedicating three years to its development before releasing it to the world in August 2019.

 

Emerging from a period of personal reflection, this project embodied a blossoming of authenticity that quickly caught the attention of the genre’s gatekeepers. In January 2020, platforms began featuring Jacob’s music on their piano and instrumental playlists. Today, his releases and side projects have garnered a consistent listenership of many thousands, amassing hundreds of millions of streams across platforms to date.
